Ledvice Power Plant - OB16 – Cooling Water Pump Station - 660 MW
KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ RIA, a.s. executed within the "New source 660 MW in Ledvice power plant" Project the delivery of the "OB 16 – Cooling water pump station".
This dealt with the construction of the cooling water pump station for continuous delivery of 60 000 m3/h of cooling water with the guaranteed flow rate flexibility ranging from 51 600 to 67 200 m3/h. Water is pumped from the cooling tower basin to the condensers in the machine house for the purpose of waste heat removal from the condensers.
Ledvice power plant is a thermal power plant of the ČEZ company. In October 2009 the construction of the new source with capacity of 660 MW was commenced. This is the first supercritical and highly efficient power source in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. The best available technologies were used for the new boiler construction. This source efficiency amounts to 42.5% and emissions are lower by 20% in comparison with the standard coal-fired power plants.
