WWTP Břeclav, 50 543 PE, Břeclavsko Project - Part A

KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ RIA, a.s. executed the reconstruction and intensification of the Břeclav WWTP within the "Břeclavsko Project – reconstruction and construction of the water service infrastructure within the Dyje river basin, part A"

Phase 4 of the WWTP reconstruction and intensification dealt with three operating units of the plant. The rough pretreatment was extended by the gravel trap, coarse rack and storm water tank. Reconstruction was performed in the inlet pumping station, within the gravel trap and the primary sedimentation tank. To increase the effectivity of phosphorus biological removal the anaerobic tank was constructed. The sludge management was provided with the separate primary and secondary sludge treatment and the equipment was installed for chemical precipitation of phosphorus in sludge liquor after the digested sludge dewatering unit.

Intensification of the mechanical and biological wastewater treatment plant was executed during 2007-2009 and in 2010, after the trial operation, the WWTP was put into the permanent operation. The extended plant meets the strict requirements on treated effluent quality in compliance with both Czech national and European standards and the water regulation limits for Břeclav WWTP.
